BOOT CAMP

Beneficial for the social dancer, social competitor, and the competitive competitor.
Also beneficial for instructors in both their own dancing and their teaching.

3:00pm
"DANCING SCALES"
The most important part of your dancing for both you and anyone you dance with is your warm-up.
Stretching and warm-up exercises ("scales") help prevent injury, help make the most of your dancing (get those hips shakin'), and help your lead/follow.
To be addressed...Stretches, Body Stance & Posture, Importance of Core, Making Spins & Turns Easy, What does Lead & Follow Really Mean?.

3:45pm
"MENTAL"
-Half of dancing is mental. We've all heard, "If you believe you can do it, you can!" It's a popular phrase for a reason!
-Additionally we will work on Dance Character. Putting yourself in the frame of mind of the dance aids in leading, following, and overall fun & satisfaction.

4:30pm
"SMOOTH TECHNIQUE TIPS & STYLING OF THE PROS"
-Learn special technique tips of the pros (for both social & competitive) to make your dancing easier and even more fun!
-How do I put some style in my dance? What do I do with my free arm? How do I connect with a partner? What's my poise?

5:15pm
"LATIN & SWING TECHNIQUE TIPS & STYLING OF THE PROS"
-Learn special technique tips of the pros (for both social & competitive) to make your dancing easier and even more fun!
